Authentic Nepal

Experience a few days in rural Nepal as an add on to your trek, jungle safari or Bhutan tour. Escape from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu and immerse yourself in our pick of Nepal’s most peaceful yet accessible countryside.

Visit Namo Buddha, an important pilgrimage site with an impressive Buddhist monastery. Explore nearby villages and observe the local way of life. At your peaceful rammed-earth accommodation, enjoy fresh home cooked meals and learn about the sustainable practices in their extensive organic garden.

Experience sunrise and sunset in the ancient city of Bhaktapur as the daytime crowds disperse, staying overnight within a stone’s throw of the city’s oldest square. Continue to the edge of Shivapuri National Park. Tonight’s accommodation is set in a peaceful hillside garden overlooking Kathmandu without being immersed in it. Relax in the afternoon, go for a hike or enjoy the view of the city from the hot tub.

Continue to the largely undiscovered district of Nuwakot, where you will be based in a lovingly restored heritage farmhouse for two nights. Relax in the garden, join a guide for a village walk or explore the historic hilltop fortress and durbar square.

This tour is ideal for people who love exploring off the beaten track from the comfort of their own vehicle and enjoy hand picked boutique accommodation without joining a large group.
