Our carefully planned 12-night journey incorporates Nepal’s stunning scenery, peaceful villages and lets you discover friendly and hospitable local people, while furthering your yoga practice. About our Nepal yoga journeys

Your Yoga Journey begins in Kathmandu, Nepal. Stay in comfortable boutique accommodation while you settle in to the rhythms of Nepali life. Explore some of the most atmospheric and holiest sites in Kathmandu, such as the ancient stupas at Bouddhanath and Swayambhunath, and Patan Durbar Square.

During your stay, time off is incorporated into the programme for you to explore and take in the stunning views and surroundings. There are plenty of opportunities for keen photographers, bird watching, hiking and of course—yoga.

NEPAL YOGA JOURNEY itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Kathmandu: Your journey begins in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Stay in comfortable boutique accommodation as you settle into the rhythms of Nepali life.

Overnight: Kathmandu
Altitude: 1,400 m.

Day 2

Kathmandu: After morning yoga, spend the day exploring the city. Recommended destinations include the ancient stupas at Boudhanath and Swayambhunath, and the Patan Durbar Square. Return to the hotel for an afternoon yoga session. Breakfast included.

Overnight: Kathmandu ( no meals included)
Elevation: 1,400 m.

Day 3

Namo Buddha: After morning yoga travel to Namo Buddha, one of Nepal’s holiest Buddhist sites, where a young prince sacrificed his life to a tigress. The monastery attracts large numbers of pilgrims, and is open to visitors. Spend some quiet time inside the main prayer hall before heading to your accommodation a short drive away. Nestled in a peaceful organic farm, your retreat is the perfect place to unwind and focus on your yoga practice in the fully equipped studio.

Driving Time: 2 hours
Overnight: Namo Buddha ( all meals included)
Altitude: 1,750 m.

Day 4

Namo Buddha: After morning yoga, go on a village walk to see rural life. After lunch, relax in the garden before your afternoon yoga session. Enjoy dinner around the table in the evening.

Day 5

Namo Buddha: After morning yoga, walk to the monastery at Namo Budha or attend a Nepali cooking class. The afternoon is free to relax before afternoon yoga and dinner around the table.

Day 6

Shivapuri: Your yoga journey continues after yoga and breakfast. Stop for lunch on the outskirts of Kathmandu before continuing to your cottage accommodation on the edge of Shivapuri National Park. Practice yoga on the lawn, relax in the hot tub or enjoy a massage before a delicious home cooked meal in the cozy family run cottages.

Overnight: Shivapuri ( all meals included)
Altitude: 1675 m.

Day 7

Nuwakot: Following morning yoga and breakfast, travel across Shivapuri National Park to Nuwakot, district, a picturesque area used by Nepal’s first king as the base for invading Kathmandu. Famous as the ‘City of Nine Hills’, Nuwakot holds historical importance in Nepal’s history. Nuwakot Palace was built by Nepal's first king Prithvi Naryan Shah in the 18th century. Sadly, it was badly damaged in the earthquakes of 2015 but is under renovation. Continue to your well-appointed lovingly renovated farmhouse accommodation nearby. After lunch al fresco in the courtyard, there will be time to relax in the afternoon or go on a guided walk from the farm.

Overnight: Nuwakot ( all meals included)
Altitude: 950 m.

Day 8

Nuwakot: Following morning yoga and breakfast, walk down to explore the palace and Durbar Square. Relax in the garden in the afternoon before dinner on the terrace.

Overnight: Nuwakot ( all meals included)
Altitude: 950 m.

Day 9

Kathmandu: Return to Kathmandu in time for final sightseeing and shopping.

Overnight: Kathmandu ( breakfast included)
Altitude: 1,450 m.

Day 10

Kathmandu: After morning yoga, return to Kathmandu for last-minute shopping or sightseeing time in the capital. Enjoy your last afternoon yoga session at your hotel. Breakfast included.

Driving Time: 1.5 hours
Overnight: Kathmandu

Day 11

Depart Nepal: Breakfast included.
